KAD's own manufacture 4 Bolt Steel Centre Main Cap for the 1300 A-Series and 1300 A+ Mini Block.
The same centre cap as supplied in our Steel Main Cap Sets but for the racer on a tighter budget or even track-day/rally Minis this is a modification well worth doing. We have seen the standard caps move and chattering marks appear on the block and cap faces, this is when crankshaft breakages occur. The all steel cap set has removed this inherent problem and has been vigorously tested on KAD engines to withstand 9000+ RPM over 4 years of racing without any problems.
Special features on the KAD main caps are counterbored Allen bolt socket caps. They are sunk into the main cap so no fettling of the gearbox case is required. Caps are also machined with both notches to except 'S' and A+ main bearings.

This cap suits 1300 A+ and GT blocks only.
